Manual and Electric Hoists
ACCEL sells electric and manual hoists compliant with CE standards and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. These “Do It Yourself” lifting devices are supplied with their certificates of conformity. Please note that electrically or mechanically powered hoists are equipment subject to periodic general inspections (VGP).
ELECTRIC HOIST
This lifting equipment offers undeniable comfort compared to a manual hoist. Motorization allows heavier loads to be lifted safely.
Electric hoists are most commonly used in workshops, although some models are perfectly suited for construction sites. For more frequent handling and lifting operations, this type of mechanism should be preferred.
Professional electric hoists operate on a 400 Volt three-phase power supply. Single-phase solutions are also available in 240 Volt.
MANUAL CHAIN HOIST
There are two types of manual chain hoists: chain hoists and lever hoists.
Manual chain hoist
Chain hoists are generally used for heavier loads and in industrial environments where reliability and lifting capacity are essential.
Manual lever hoist
A lever hoist uses a lever mechanism to lift loads. It features a lever arm operated by the user through an up-and-down motion. The lever hoist converts the lever movement into lifting motion using a ratchet and gear mechanism.
It is generally more compact and portable than a chain hoist, making it useful in situations where space is limited or mobility is required.
Lever hoists are often used for lighter lifting applications such as automotive maintenance or light construction work.
ACCEL CARDON DISTRIBUTOR
Cardon et Fils was founded in 1942 in Le Havre, France. The company manufactures and markets a wide range of lifting and handling accessories and equipment. Since early 2024, ACCEL has been offering lever hoists and manual chain hoists from the French manufacturer Cardon.
The distinctive feature of these hoists is that they are equipped with lifting chains manufactured in France.

HOISTS FOR ATEX ZONE 1 & 2
Hoists are essential equipment for lifting and handling loads in industry, construction, maintenance workshops, and hazardous environments. ACCEL offers a wide range of electric hoists, manual hoists, and ATEX hoists designed for the most demanding professional environments.
The electric hoist enables fast and safe lifting for intensive use, while the manual hoist provides a reliable and cost-effective solution for occasional operations or environments without electrical power. For explosive atmospheres, ATEX hoists meet the safety requirements related to gas or dust hazardous zones.
Our lifting equipment is selected from recognized manufacturers and complies with CE standards as well as the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. ACCEL supports professionals in choosing the right lifting equipment with solutions tailored to every need: industry, chemical, petrochemical, maintenance, food processing, and public works sectors.
